What happened to my dad? He went to change a light bulb at the log cabin of his beloved scout group. Unfortunately, one second of stepping from scaffolding to ladder ended up being fatal to him.
One second…. This still brings tears to my eyes.
The hope that it would only be a bruise (although the doctors immediately said otherwise), faded very quickly. Finally, my dear dad died on November 16, of a spinal cord injury. It only takes a second. The idea in my head that has been haunting all this time is… that one second!
Would you like to join us in cheering along the side? I would love to! The trip will take place on June 19 and 20. I’m going with a friend on foot from Valkenswaard to Handel and back the next day. Departure from Valkenswaard on June 19, six in the morning and arrival in Handel around 15.45 hours.
